Philippine Army Taps Local Textile Technology for Next-Gen Combat Uniforms

The Philippine Army’s collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI) under the COMBATex (Collaborative Multidisciplinary Bagong Ating Tela) Program represents a strategic move toward strengthening domestic capabilities in military textile production. This initiative reflects the broader global trend of defence organisations investing in indigenous manufacturing systems to reduce reliance on imports while ensuring supply chain security and operational readiness.
