Nonwoven Tech Asia 2025 opened its doors at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, marking a grand celebration of India’s growing strength and innovation in the field of nonwoven and technical textiles. The prestigious exhibition was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister Shri Rakesh Sachan, who highlighted the sector’s pivotal role in driving sustainable industrial growth and employment generation across the nation.

The event brought together industry leaders, investors, policymakers, and innovators under one roof, offering a platform to explore cutting-edge advancements in nonwoven technologies, machinery, and materials. Exhibitors from across India and abroad showcased next-generation products that cater to diverse sectors including hygiene, medical, automotive, filtration and geotextiles. The exhibition served as a reflection of India’s readiness to lead the global market with eco-friendly and high-performance technical textile solutions.

During the inauguration, Shri Sachan emphasized the government’s continued efforts to promote technical textiles through initiatives such as the National technical textiles Mission and PM MITRA Parks, which are designed to strengthen infrastructure, encourage innovation, and attract global investments. He praised industry stakeholders for their role in transforming India into a manufacturing hub for advanced textile products.

Adding to the significance of the event, Shri Anil Kumar Sagar, IAS, Principal Secretary, Handloom and Textile, interacted with potential investors, highlighting the immense opportunities available under the PM MITRA Park in Lucknow. He underscored the park’s strategic advantages world-class facilities, skilled manpower, and policy support that make it a preferred destination for textile investments.
